A-Watch workshops in North Western Province
Jubilee Centre April 27th, 2007
At the end of March Jubilee Centre, in partnership with PACT Zambia/USAID, ran workshops in Kapombo and Mufumbwe for local government councillors and FBO, CBO and NGO leaders to improve HIV/AIDS policy analysis and influence the development of policies that protect People Living with HIV/AIDS against stigma and discrimination and address the issues of quality, availability, and accessibility of VCT and ART services. As a result a Constituency Liaison Committee was created in both constituencies to move the issues forward.
Each committee wrote a declaration of commitment to respond to the issues they had highlighted in the workshop, and wrote to their MP to engage them in representing these issues at a national and local level.
