Chifubu and Mapalo church mobilization workshops.
Jubilee Centre conducted two days workshops both in Chifubu and Mapalo. The objective of these workshops was to train pastors and church leaders in project management and to show them the recap of the survey conducted in their areas. In Chifubu over 62 pastors and church leaders were trained in record keeping and project management.
The pastors and church leaders who attended the workshop said that the topics were profound and were an eye opener to many leaders as far as planning and keeping records was concerned. In Mapalo over 45 pastors and leaders were also trained. Pastor Temfwe challenged the church to quickly change the mission strategy or it will become irrelevant to the people living in poverty - the marginalized and the stigmatized.
Willow Creek Team Visit JC
Stella Kasirya, Willow Creek Southern Africa Representative led a team of video crew to JC to capture the activities of JC Church mobilization program. Willow Creek has partnered with the JC in the ambitious program of building capacity in a minimum of 80 churches that they respond to the spiritual and social issues in their communities. During their visit the team was able to see how the churches were ministering to child headed homes, people living with AIDS and being the prophetic voice in their communities.
Sponsored Children Receive Special Gifts
Jubilee Centre has been helping 50 orphans and vulnerable children with $25 each month to supplement their food and educational needs. Child sponsorship program gives churches an opportunity to reach out to the children and families with the message of hope in Christ. All the children in this program attend church and most participate in HIV/AIDS Youth Action Club a program promoting abstinence and encouraging VCT.![]()
Recently, some children received special gifts from their sponsors to enable them purchase special needs. The grandmother to one of the orphans stated, “I am so grateful to the sponsors of Mary. This help is also meeting the needs of our family.”
Mary is a double orphan who just wrote her grade seven exams said, “I think I have made it to grade eight and that is why God has given me so much money in readiness for my studies next year. I have never seen so much money in my life.”
Hillary’s farewell
Hillary Waters an intern from Wheaton College in the USA served with JC for six months. She left Zambia
on 30th November and will be remembered for her survey on Ndola Development Trust. This is an initiative by Ndola business people to bring development into Ndola and JC has been playing an active role in being the conscience of the poor in this initiative. At the farewell party the staff had a time of fellowship, Holy Communion and shared a meal together. Hillary thanked the staff for being wonderful hosts during her stay in Zambia and she stated that she had learned a lot from JC and the communities it serves.
Hillary will be greatly missed for her hard work, humility and passion for serving others.

Thank You
As we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ who came along and gave us new life, everlasting joy and assurance of eternal life-we also want to thank you for praying, financial contribution and other participation in pursuing the vision of JC. You have made a powerful contribution to enable us reach over 500 church leaders with the teaching of integral mission, 300 HIV/AIDS patients with food supplements, care and the gospel, 300 orphans with food and educational needs, reach out to 10 schools with message of abstinence and 1,500 people coming to the serving knowledge of Christ. We could go on. Your efforts are having great impact in our lives, communities, Zambia and to the world. There is a growing opportunity to do more. As the writer put it to the Hebrews, “God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown as you have helped his people and continue to help them.” Please continue to encourage us. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
