Jubilee Centre in Ndola has started the training of 250 Sunday school teachers under the Awana leadership partnership programme aimed at empowering children with a foundation for providing national leadership.

Jubilee Centre executive director Lawrence Temfwe said under the Awana partnership, training Sunday school teachers drawn from various churches on the Copperbelt and North-Western provinces were being trained at National Rehabilitation Centre in Ndola. Pastor Temfwe said the Sunday school teachers selected to attend the four-day training programme were being equipped with various skills and knowledge needed 100_0800for the establishment of new crop of national leaders.

“As a church we have to start raising children that shall one day provide leadership from a firm foundation  that Jesus is Lord,” he said.

The church was the only hope to do something about Zambia’s moral decay, pastor Temfwe said.

Jubilee Centre was convinced that bringing lasting hope would only start by bringing lasting change in the lives of children.

“Hope for a better Zambia lies in infusing Godly values in children,” pastor Temfwe said.
